I'm not perfect, I am full of defects, each has captivated me what ... I love far beyond what I can ... I'm friends more than they deserve ... But there's a side of me that I myself unaware ... I dream of unusual things, desire things that maybe I do not need ... Often love who does not deserve my love ... And so I living the life wishing I can not be dreaming of a dream that may never perform ... But I have something that surprises me ... I have the courage to fight for what I can not have ... I have imagination to create my little dreams my way ... I have the strength to endure pain that even I do not believe I was able to overcome ... And so I will learn ... And so I'm going down and up the roller coaster that is life .. In the ups and downs of life I balance on my courage and move on .. And not matter how many times I fall ... My courage makes me strong ... And the creeping serve to bring me down but never to make me give up ... I fight for what I believe ... I love what for me is worth ... I do not care what happens out there ... No matter whether they are good or bad times ... I want to be happy here and now ....

Forgive

Forgive



Several years ago I had reason to have a very big fall out with a friend. For a year we did not speak, which I instigated I guess because I felt I was the victim. One day I was sat at my laptop and I got a profound feeling wash over me urging me to simply 'forgive'. It was all rather impulsive, but I sent her a message immediately and said that I forgave her, and could we just leave it in the past. She replied quickly and within a few hours we were talking as if nothing had happened.
Doing this relieved me of a feeling of great sadness that I had felt for all the year we were not speaking. I felt unburdened.
Now fast forward, and several times since that situation, I have had reason to have to decide whether to forgive people or not. It hasn't proved so easy or natural. My inner voice has not given me the nudge like it did before.
I keep reading about forgiveness and how important it is for peace of mind, and that not forgiving can actually eat away at the victim which is counter-productive. Trouble is, where do you draw the line? I can relate to it feeling terribly negative, but how do you decide when you are simply being a pushover and when you are being sensible and logical?

Lack Of Science Education In Our System


 I am always disturbed when I realize how inadequate most people's fundamental grasp of science is, especially amongst the religious faithful (sorry, but it's true).As great as the gap is between the rich and the poor, it seems to me the gap between the enlightened and the ignorant is even greater. Now I don't know if people are being willfully ignorant of basic scientific principles, or if they honestly aren't being taught them in school.

Regardless, the fact that people still question proven facts saddens me greatly.

Now, it is true we haven't proven *everything* with science (yet), but as our technologies advance, so do our discoveries and understanding of how the universe itself works. Take, for example, the fact we have proven the existence of the "Higgs-Boson" (also known as the God Particle). We would not have been able to prove it's existence 20 years ago, much less 100 years ago. The technology required to discover it didn't even exist yet.

I don't think anyone will refute the theory of gravity (unless you've recently observed someone literally floating up from the ground, and floating out into space - if you have, please share because as far as we know that is a physical impossibility).

Just as gravity holds us to the surface of the Earth, so do other forces govern how quantum particles work (quantum particles are the basic particles that make up electrons, protons and neutrons within the atoms of all matter).

  The human body is a fascinating marvel and it's amazing to learn some of the things you wouldn't normally consider. Did you know:

I realize that last one is gross and to think a dragster takes less time to run it's race, is scary. The human body is quite amazing.

East Coast Island is Sinking

 

  East Coast USA losing more Land than anywhere on Earth due to rising tides increasing.

Smith Island, in Chesapeake Bay Maryland, is sinking.

No flood insurance available due to increasing high tides. The crab fishing is dying out. Only 250 remain in population, as houses vanish into the ocean.

The harbors of New York, Boston, and other major cities are flooding much higher with tropical storms annually now. Sandy Hook devastation will be repeated. The seaboard of Atlantic City is in peril.

Why is this happening?

Climate changes the past two decades increased globally. More hurricanes in unexpected locations. More rain and snow surpassing all known records.

Many Climatologists point to the melting of glaciers and Artic ice, coupled with warming jet streams in world oceans. And carbon pollution.

Ranikot, located around 250 km from Karachi, is supposedly the world's largest fortification and the second largest wall after the Great Wall of China.
The sight is located at the brink of the Kirthar ranges, a natural reserve for wildlife, almost in the wilderness and can be done as a long day trip from Karachi.


 

Structure of the fort itself is not that impressive, especially when compared to those of Mugul era castles, and there is no certainty as who and when built these extensive walls. This actually makes the place a bit less interesting and only suits to hardcore traveler type.
Good thing is that there is a 30 km paved road from the highway right till the entrance of the fort. The road in fact continues inside and ends up at a smaller in-house fort, Mirikot, which is located uphill overlooking the surrounding valley.
There is a water channel right in the middle of the fort emanating from a fresh spring which can easily make up for the disappointment.


 

This huge arena houses only a handful villagers belonging to the Gabol tribe of Baloch people who survive on the limited irrigation opportunity.



it would be wise not to visit the place in summers because of the scorching heat and the risk of getting dehydrated, therefore, the best time for this excursion would be November to March.


 

We trekked along the stream and reached to a formation of ponds, one of which is famous among locals as the Fairy Pond. Some ponds are really deep, as much as 65 feet, so it requires a lot of care and local support as there are no facilities around. The most special thing about these natural pools is a variety of small fish that eats up the dead skin of the human body. You may call that Fish Massage which I found really relaxing and unique!


 

The original purpose and architects of Ranikot Fort are unknown. Some archaeologists attribute it to Arabs, or possibly built by a Persian noble under the Abbasids by Imran Bin Musa Barmaki who was the Governor of Sindhin 836. Others have suggested a much earlier period of construction attributing to at times the SassaniansPersians and at times to the Greeks. Despite the fact that a prehistoric site of Amri is nearby, there is no trace of any old city inside the fort and the present structure has little evidence of prehistoric origins.Archaeologists point to 17th century as its time of first construction.

World's Biggest Ship Grave Yard Gaddani Pakistan

 Gadani ship-breaking yard is the world's third largest ship breaking yard. The yard consists of 132 ship-breaking plots located across a 10 km long beachfront at Gadani, Pakistan, about 50 kilometres northwest of Karachi.

In the 1980s, Gadani was the largest ship-breaking yard in the world, with more than 30,000 direct employees. However, competition from newer facilities in Alang, India and Chittagong, Bangladesh resulted in a significant reduction in output, with Gadani, today, producing less than one fifth of the scrap it produced in the 1980s. The recent reduction in taxes on scrap metal has led to a modest resurgence of output at Gadani, which now employs around 6,000 workers.

Over 1 million tons of steel is scavenged per year, and much of it is sold domestically.In the 2009-2010 fiscal year, a record 107 ships, with a combined light displacement tonnage (LDT) of 852,022 tons, were broken at Gadani whereas in the previous 2008-2009 fiscal year, 86 ships, with a combined LDT of 778,598 tons, were turned into scrap.


Gadani currently has an annual capacity of breaking up to 125 ships of all sizes, including supertankers, with a combined LDT of 1,000,000 tons.

 Although Gadani ranks as the world's third largest ship breaking yard after Alang and Chittagong in terms of volume, it is the world's leading ship breaking yard in terms of efficiency. At Gadani, a ship with 5,000 LDT is broken within 30 to 45 days, whereas in India and Bangladesh, it takes, on average, more than six months for breaking a vessel of the same size

 Ships to be broken up are run aground on the beach under their own power, then gradually dismantled. As the weight of the ship lessens, it is dragged further onto the beach until completely scrapped

 In Gadani, however, the beach has a different aesthetic. It's the third-largest ship breaking yard in the world, and it's not a joke to say that this beach is where ships go to die.

 Dragged ashore and harvested for scrap metal and equipment, many of these ships are just skeletons as they wait any number of months to reach complete disassembly, their rusted hulls listing and breaking apart, half-submerged in the water.

  This is a graveyard unlike any other, where the bodies of ships lie silent, enticing curious explorers, history buffs and especially the mechanically inclined to take a look at the now mostly useless fleet of ghost ships

 of course, as part of the mechanical or electrical assemblies of newer, faster ships.

 Others are melted down and formed into new shapes entirely.

  But any visitor without any investment in the salvage will tell you — it's what's been left behind that is most interesting.

Parts of these ships will live on for years

 Informal ship-breaking operations occurred along the Gadani coastline prior to Pakistan's independence in 1947. After independence, a group of entrepreneurs made serious efforts to develop this casual trade into a regular industry. Despite their efforts, Gadani beach at that time lacked necessary infrastructure facilities including roads, utilities or accommodation or medical services for workers.

 In 2001, the Government of Pakistan reduced ship-breaking duties from 15% to 10% and offered further incentives if industry activity improved. The measures have been effective, with a modest increase in employment to a total of around 6,000 workers.

The Good Dinosaur is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is scheduled to be released on November 25, 2015.[3] It is the studio's sixteenth feature film. Bob Peterson, who came up with the idea for the story, directed The Good Dinosaur until August 2013, when he was removed from the film. On October 21, 2014, Peter Sohn (who had previously been co-director) was announced as the new director of The Good Dinosaur



The Good Dinosaur will be theatrically released on November 25, 2015.Before the rescheduling from 2014 to 2015,the company is making up for that absence by opening two films in 2015. The first is Inside Out, due out in June, and the second is The Good Dinosaur, scheduled for November. While we’ve already seen a trailer for the former, the latter remains a bit more mysterious for now. Still, we’ll take what we can get — and today, that means a new bit of concept art and an updated official logo.

The Good Dinosaur is directed by Peter Sohn (director of Partly Cloudy, animator on The Incredibles and WALL-E). Dinosaurs are the dominant species on Earth (since the asteroid missed and they lived on for millions of years). One day one of the dinos, named Arlo (Lucas Neff of "Raising Hope") discovers a human toddler that isn't afraid of these creatures, and they adopt him as their pet. Neil Patrick Harris and Judy Greer voice Arlo's siblings Cliff and Ivy while John Lithgow and Frances McDormand voice Poppa and Momma. Bill Hader also lends his voice to the film which Disney releases November 25th, 2015 next fall.

A wonderful Journey




A cruise ship or cruise liner is a passenger ship used for pleasure voyages, where the voyage itself and the ship's amenities are a part of the experience, as well as the different destinations along the way. Transportation is not the prime purpose, as cruise ships operate mostly on routes that return passengers to their originating port, so the ports of call are usually in a specified region of a continent. There are even "cruises to nowhere" or "nowhere voyages" where the ship makes 2-3 night round trips without any ports of call.
By contrast, dedicated transport oriented ocean liners do "line voyages" and typically transport passengers from one point to another, rather than on round trips. Traditionally, an ocean liner for the transoceanic trade will be built to a higher standard than a typical cruise ship, including high freeboard and stronger plating to withstand rough seas and adverse conditions encountered in the open ocean, such as the North Atlantic. Ocean liners also usually have larger capacities for fuel, victuals, and other stores for consumption on long voyages, compared to dedicated cruise ships.
Although often luxurious, ocean liners had characteristics that made them unsuitable for cruising, such as high fuel consumption, deep draught that prevented them from entering shallow ports, enclosed weatherproof decks that were not appropriate for tropical weather, and cabins designed to maximize passenger numbers rather than comfort (such as a high proportion of windowless suites). The gradual evolution of passenger ship design from ocean liners to cruise ships has seen passenger cabins shifted from inside the hull to the superstructure with private verandas. The modern cruise ships, while sacrificing qualities of seaworthiness, have added amenities to cater to water tourists, and recent vessels have been described as "balcony-laden floating condominiums




On a recent cruise vacation I took the picture, included in this post, while in St. Thomas one of the US Virgin Islands. While in this port of call Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas, the ship I was on, was joined by Carnival's Magic and NCL's Norwegian Breakaway. This day my wife and I decided not to take any cruise ship sponsored excursions and simply have a nice walk and stay fairly close to the port and ship. There are a lot of small kiosk type setups and huts near the ship where local artisans and others sell their wares to the tourists. We picked up some gifts while enjoying the comfortable but a bit windy day. After doing a little more shopping we walked around for about an hour or so before heading back to the ship. There are several sites we would like to see on this beautiful island but it will have to wait for another visit. We spent the rest of the day on the ship, having lunch in the Windjammer then taking stroll to Two70 to enjoy the beautiful view from the aft section of the ship from this living room atmosphere venue. We left this port of call in the early evening as we were going to spend two days at sea as we made our way home to Cape Liberty in New Jersey

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it. It was initially named Airbus A3XX and designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market. The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines.
The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, with a width equivalent to a wide-body aircraft. This gives the A380-800's cabin 478 square metres (5,145.1 sq ft) of usable floor space, 40% more than the next largest airliner, the Boeing 747-8,[4] and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in an all-economy class configuration. The A380-800 has a design range of 15,700 kilometres (8,500 nmi; 9,800 mi), sufficient to fly nonstop from Dallas to Sydney, and a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h, 560 mph or 490 kn at cruising altitude).
As of January 2015, Airbus had received 317 firm orders and delivered 153 aircraft; Emirates has the most A380s on order with 140 and 58 delivered


Airbus’ 21st century flagship A380 is setting new standards in terms of cabin layout and overall passenger comfort, fully leveraging its double-deck configuration to provide broader seats, more personal storage, better head room and wider stairs and aisles.
Seating capacity ranges from 525 passengers (in a comfortable three-class configuration) to more than 800 in a single-class layout with wider seats than other aircraft in its class.
The A380's cabin flexibility allows airlines to differentiate their products and develop innovative layouts tailored to market requirements. I am not going to name names but someone close to me treated me like rubbish last night and I couldn't wait to be away from this person. It seemed to be a 'let's see how far we can bring Auntydote down' night.

First it was said that I am 'silly' for changing my diet to suit prediabetes when there's no way of knowing I will develop diabetes. I tried to tell the person if you don't change diet/lifestyle chances are you will get full blown diabetes. No, wasn't listening to any facts, like I only have one kidney not working to full capacity, which of course would eventually become very affected by diabetes. No, I am silly apparently.

Then I was got at for not having a job; a proper job with a wage slip. When I explained about fibromyalgia and how some days I can barely get out of bed, that wasn't enough. This person told me I am getting older and as we age we all get pain, so I should at least do some voluntary work.

After this conversation, this person asked me to help them lift a huge chest full of photo albums and the like across two rooms. I said I daren't because I'd probably be in more pain for a few days if I did. This person told me to 'get a grip' and tutted, then fetched someone else to help with it.

I reckon this person is a bit fed up of their life to be honest and they just needed someone to have a go at, to relieve their frustration. Thanks!

West Virginia

Many of you may not know but West Virginia has made a gradual then hard turn from Blue to Red politically. With that comes the waves of change. These waves can come as welcoming progress and betterment for the common good or they can be a tsunami that uproots all forward thinking and sets a group of people back in time.
In recent weeks the new regime at the State Capitol has sent shock waves through the working class and many of those who voted for so called "change." The GOP won a majority of seats but on campaign promises and ideas that have seemed to disappear along with the former Democratic Majority.
The WV GOP spoke of jobs and bringing prosperity to the Mountain State. Revitalizing industry and resurrecting infrastructure all while creating better systems to make West Virginia more accessible to the world and vice versa. But, half way through the 2015 Legislative Session all we have seen is a polarizing abortion legislation that does little but to appease the West Virginians for Life, an assault on wages by threatening to repeal the minimum wage increase and also create "right to work" laws that will lower competitiveness of wages and benefits, while taking a further strike at the coal miners whose pensions that have already been targeted by the coal barons and greedy Wall Street criminals. If that does not take it far enough they are aiming to eliminate prevailing wage which will only lower the already low median income of this state that sits at a petty $36,000 or so.
Progress has further been averted by way of a Charter School bill that would take public school funds and allocate them to private entity operated schools that do no have public open enrollment and that do not adhere to state or federal BOE standards. Top that off with a Law that reduces clean water regulations with less than a year passing since a major chemical spill effected over 300,000 residents and turned off usable running water for over 2 weeks. To add insult to injury they are working on legal reform law that would limit the states ability and individuals abilities to sue companies like Freedom and American Water who were the culprits of the incident and cover up that contaminated the drinking water. Also said bill would exonerate folks like Don Blankenship, the coal baron over the UBB mine disasters that killed dozens in the state of WV.
It's a New Day in West Virginia...they say as coal fades out so will the lights... I do not think we will have to wait that long in the Mountain State... the new regime has switched the lights off on us, so we cannot see them rob us blind of our liberty and our rights as citizens.
We need leaders of free minds not those who abuse power by attempting to turn the masses to nothing more than sheep... the fight to keep the American Dream alive hinges on a strong generation of selfless leaders.
